As part of our due diligence, we scoured the internet to determine if our approach is unique—understand we’re talking about a classic coffee-table quality volume. To our surprise we found nothing, mostly restaurant resource directories or recipe collections–nothing in art book form.
We will feature each chef in detail, revealing the essences of their motivation, influence, direction and passion. The treatment aesthetic with blend classic imagery with compelling writing, wrapped in minimalist design.

We’re planning for approximately 50 select chefs, each to be presented over 4-pages, producing a 200+ page volume. As part of this participation, each chef will receive 25 free copies. Further, we’re providing you with licensed use from the photoshoots images and copy used in the book for personal and/or promotional use.
The initial print run will be 2500 copies of which 1250 are committed to our chefs. The remaining 1250 are for promotional use, and the balance are to sell. Of those sold, we intend to contribute a portion of the proceeds to an approved charity.
This is not solely a vanity project for us, nor do we expect to sell enough copies to attract a publisher–we sit in that gray area that prevents most publishing projects from ever becoming realized. As a result, we’ve developed a creative approach leveraging some technologies that help offset the expense of producing images, copy, layout/design and printing.
