the Tennessee based brand
gets a little boost from its Los Angeles partner
Ole Smoky Moonshine–a Gatlinburg, Tennessee based, worldwide distributed whiskey–hired us to complete a two-day “lifestyle” shoot. Working alongside Label Industries who managed the account, secured locations, and staged amazing spot-on props and setups, we delivered a 42 scene shoot, generating four-thousand images.
Assignment… “capture the brands visual flavor for print, web, billboard and social media use…” –Frank Guernsey, Chief Marketing Officer at Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery
Approach… with just two-days to complete a 42 scene shot-list across 12 locations–and no budget for blocking scenes, striking lights or professional models–we decided to stage general scenarios based on available light and use a photojournalistic approach in capturing the lifestyle behind the Ole Smoky brand.
